The Operations Manager will work full time from our Bogota, Colombia office, being on the front lines of finding that talent.
In a Nutshell //
The Operations Manager at Symphonic will be responsible for ensuring that the Bogota, Colombia office is always performing at a high level. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), this role will oversee multiple areas, including marketing, client relations, client acquisition and creative design, assuring productivity and efficiency while seeking to reduce costs. The Operations Manager will help manage other individuals across departments and guide groups of people to complete their individual tasks in order to achieve company-wide goals.
What you will do //
Monitor day to day operations to optimize the performance of a cross functional staff from various departments who report to leaders in the U.S.
Determine needs within the branch location and connect people to work together to solve problems as they arise while using a big picture perspective.
Analyze situations and make decisions geared towards the best interest of Symphonic as a whole.
Resolve conflicts as they arise between employees
Establish guidelines for how to complete tasks and expectations.
Work with Human Resources in the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee satisfaction and offboarding
Conduct weekly standup meetings to ensure operations are on track to meet goals and deadlines.
Communicate constantly and efficiently with the COO and other department leaders on the performance of the Bogota office
Operate within a budget, ensuring that the operational costs are aligned with allocated resources.
Ensure the Bogota office meets the requirements set by the landlord and that staff as the necessary tools and supplies to perform their duties.
What you need to have //
10+ years of experience managing a cross-functional team
Ability to identify weak spots in a process and improve efficiency
Experience with operational metrics (for example, KPI, OKR, etc.)
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
Ability to travel to Tampa, FL up to 10% of the time
What will set you apart //
Master’s Degree, particularly an MBA
Portuguese language, other languages besides Spanish and English
Experience in the music industry
