The Agile Business Analyst’s primary responsibility is to ensure that business and user needs are articulated as clear, detailed feature definitions and user stories for inclusion in the product backlog.  At Symphonic, the Agile Business Analyst is also an active champion of agile development methodologies and works closely with the technology leadership to facilitate many scrum activities.

  • The opportunity to conduct acceptance testing for completed features and validate that the delivered work meets the documented acceptance criteria

What you will need to have //

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • The ability to create user stories, process flows, and wireframes to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements
  • The ability to conduct effective requirement gathering sessions and then concisely document the outcomes
  • Strong working knowledge of User Story Mapping and the ability to lead story mapping workshops
  • Superb attention to detail and a rigorous focus on delivering quality output
  • The ability to tailor communications appropriately for the target audience
  • Strong understanding of modern development and usability best practices for the web and mobile
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

What else will be helpful in this role //

  • An understanding of Progressive Web Application design patterns and technologies
  • Knowledge of Google’s Material Design standards
  • An understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Experience with backlog management using Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS)
  • The ability to work comfortably across macOS, Linux, and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of the music industry and/or related partner API’s (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Beatport, etc.)
