Symphonic Distribution is a 100% independent music distribution and marketing company based in downtown Tampa.  We focus on distributing electronic, hip-hop, and urban music in general. We pride ourselves in finding the newest, most talented up-and-coming bands, producers, rappers, managers, and labels with promise of developing long careers.

We are currently looking for a full time Marketing Manager to join our team!   

As the Marketing Manager, you'll bring a get-it-done, data-driven approach to advancing the business by identifying and championing opportunities to grow client audiences.

The ideal candidate thrives when being challenged, has the passion for creating content marketing strategies and is meticulous at measuring results.

What you will do //

We are seeking an adaptable creative thinker who believes change is the only constant in life (because it is) and execution is key. Although you might wear multiple hats on any given day, we’ve compiled the most important responsibilities:

  • Contribute to conversations with innovative ideas, quick-thinking and thoughtful solutions, being a leader and strategic contributor in a collaborative environment to inspire greatness, lead brainstorming, build on ideas and execute projects and campaigns to drive company growth

  • Deploy marketing campaigns and own implementation from strategy to execution; organize and ensure completion of marketing campaigns by communicating effectively with internal team, utilizing technology and softwares and building relationships with internal team members and external agencies and stakeholders

  • Work with internal team and agency partners to utilize and experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels to yield results including content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, etc.

  • Evaluate the performance of campaigns and troubleshoot those that underperform; track all marketing data and create detailed reports to communicate results, presenting updates to senior executives

  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications

  • Manage trade show promotional event planning including managing all logistics with event contacts, requesting and managing event content from internal team and securing senior leadership for speaking events

  • Build relationships with national and local media outlets in order to create brand awareness

  • Maintain a deep understanding of brand and passion to grow the company

What you need to have //

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with campaign planning, event planning, social marketing

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or similar area of study or equivalent work experience

  • Strong Google Analytics and social media management software knowledge

  • Ability to manage across multiple internal teams

  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities

  • Excellent written and oral skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal team and external clients

  • Innate curiosity, insight into human behavior, and an instinct for popular culture

What will set you apart //

Want to put a cherry on top of your already exceptional candidate profile? We’d love it you have:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or similar area of study

  • 5+ years experience working with a creative brand or agency

  • Hubspot, Google, SalesForce, or other digitally-focused certifications/knowledge

  • Having HTML/CSS and Adobe Creative Suite skills

  • Fluency in Spanish and a love for dogs

  • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy

  • Have entrepreneurial DNA

  • Hybrid of B2B and B2C experience across technology, saas, entertainment, music, and lifestyle

  • Ideal candidate mindset: Self-motivated, positive, creative and passionate

  • Ideal candidate behaviors: Proactive, driven to get things done, energetic, focused
